Boston Baroque X-tet presents works by Haydn, Mendelssohn, and Lusitano

Drawing membership from Boston Baroque’s world-renowned orchestra roster, the X-tet is the organization’s first-ever period string chamber ensemble.

Boston Baroque X-tet performs at 8:00 pm on the second evening of the 2023 Early Music America Summit in Boston, Oct 25th. Tickets $30, or included in full Summit registration.

Founded in 1973 by Music Director Martin Pearlman, Boston Baroque has garnered a global reputation for its lively, groundbreaking, emotionally-charged performances and recordings that bring early music to life for modern audiences.

Drawing membership from Boston Baroque’s world-renowned orchestra roster, the X-tet is the organization’s first-ever period string chamber ensemble. Core members of the X-tet include GRAMMY-nominated concertmaster Christina Day Martinson, assistant concertmaster Jesse Irons, and principal players Sarah Darling, violin, Jason Fisher, viola, and Michael Unterman, cello.

Boston Baroque X-tet performs the second of three evening concerts to be presented at the 2023 Early Music America Summit. Featured performances will take place at Emmanuel Church in the City of Boston at 8:00 pm daily, October 24-26. Concert admission is included with Summit registration and is open to the public. (Tickets $30.)
