RFK COMMUNITY ALLIANCE 18TH ANNUAL EMBRACING THE LEGACY CELEBRATION THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2024
On Thursday, November 21st, at 5:30PM, Robert F. Kennedy Community Alliance and supporters across Massachusetts are invited to join the RFK Community Alliance for the 18th annual Embracing the Legacy celebration at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum. This special evening will shine a spotlight on the impactful work being done by RFK Community Alliance for children, youth and adults facing educational, developmental, mental health, and other challenges.
The celebration, co-chaired by Joe Kennedy III, Emma Carpenter, and John J. Boyle III, will honor Susan Harris O’Connor, a distinguished MSW, LICSW Practitioner, activist, and author, along with the Burton family, renowned for their work helping youth through education, leadership and physical fitness and Rev. Ray Hammond and Rev. Gloria E. White-Hammond, founders of Founders of Bethel Institute for Community Development. These honorees' actions embody the social values and hopes of the late Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Whiles also making significant contributions by raising awareness, fighting against social injustices, and advocating for those who often go unheard. Their efforts reflect the legacy of Senator Kennedy’s commitments to social justice and the belief that every person has value and deserves dignity.
This year’s event promises to be an inspiring evening, featuring special guests and a beautiful harmony of voices from our community, honorees, staff, and program participants. We encourage everyone to attend and take part in this important celebration.
