Cambridge Community Chorus Spring Concert, Sunday May18, 4:00 pm

Brahms' German Requiem is a majestic masterpiece for chorus, orchestra and soloists. Under the baton of Music Director Pamela Mindell, Cambridge's premier large-scale chorus is joined by a professional orchestra and by acclaimed vocal soloists Susan Consoli, soprano, and John Salvi, baritone. In seven movements that include some of Brahms' most stirring and memorable themes, this is truly a requiem for the living, a deeply humanistic musical journey from suffering and mourning to hope and consolation.

It takes a whole orchestra to play it.”
