Bach’s most towering achievement, Emmanuel Music rounds out the 2024-25 performance season by putting our trademark stamp on the great Mass in B Minor, a work of vocal and orchestral mastery. Completed only one year before his death, Bach himself never heard the work, but used this setting of the Mass Ordinary to showcase the prowess, ingenuity, and flexibility he had spent his lifetime honing.
