MIT Professional Education invites the community to a free summer concert by the MIT Summer Philharmonic Orchestra, celebrating hope and optimism through an evening of classical music. The performance will take place Friday, July 24 at 8 p.m. at MIT's Kresge Auditorium in Cambridge.
Under the direction of acclaimed Music Director and Conductor George Ogata, accomplished musicians from MIT and the Greater Boston area will perform two beloved masterpieces: Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5 and Dvořák's Symphony No. 9, "From the New World." These powerful works evoke themes of hope and optimism in an ever-changing world-and serve as a reminder of the creativity and shared humanity that connect us all.
Admission is free and open to all. Please arrive early to ensure a seat.
