Jazz Saturday: John Dalton’s Spheres of Influence / Peter Perfido and Dominique Humbert

     Spheres of Influence plays a mixture of original music, fully improvised music and arrangements of standards and popular materials. For this performance, composer John Dalton (drums) is joined by Chris Covney (guitar). For the second set, on tour from France, Dominique Humbert (sax) and Peter Perfido (percussion) will play originals plus tunes from jazz greats. Their terra incognito approach to improvising varies from minimal and meditative to textured density.
