Face the chilly temperatures for a good cause this February; don your bathing suit and dive into the icy cold waters of the Vineyard Sound off of Falmouth Heights Beach on Saturday, February 10th during Gosnold’s 3rd annual “Freezin’ for a Reason” Polar Plunge. Gosnold is a nationally recognized addiction and mental health treatment organization that has provided innovative treatment and prevention solutions to those dealing with addiction, and has served as a thought leader in these areas for more than 45 years. Funds raised from the Polar Plunge will benefit Gosnold’s newly revitalized alumni programs. The goal of the alumni programs is to provide ongoing services and support to those leaving treatment and beginning their recovery journey and to help individuals form long-term relationships within the recovery community. Community members are invited to sign up, join a team or sponsor a ‘plunger’; participants who raise $100 or more will receive a complimentary beach towel.
