Ok. The name grabbed us from the start: Beware the Dangers of a Ghost Scorpion! It sounded like a cheesy horror movie you’d see ruing third on the bill at a drive-in theater, which made it sound like the perfect antidote for the holiday music overload our heads have been swimming in since the day after Thanksgiving.

The band website was on band camp, so it didn’t offer much info about who they were, but there was a song like and a video, both of which were awesome. Their Facebook page wasn’t anymore enlightening except it listed their musical genre as ‘horror-surf rock,’ which is awesome, and listed the band members as:

Vince Vance DeLambre - Guitar

Professor Coyote Science - Guitar

Naughty Bobby, The Bitchin' Witch Boy - Bass

Glotch – Drums

The style, the video clip and the fact that the drummer is named Glotch (there’s gotta be a story behind that!) is enough for us to recommend going to Great Scott on Dec. 16 and watch Beware the Dangers of a Ghost Scorpion! Showtime 9 PM. Tickets $10/$12
